Agnete Hentze Pichotka is a debuting children’s book author with The Island of the Lost, the first in the Cormorant Islands trilogy. She was raised in Denmark and is half-Faroese and has thus travelled a lot to the Faroe Islands as a child. The local tales she was told on her travels have served as inspiration for Pichotka’s trilogy to become an endearing story of courage and overcoming fears, illustrated by Kathrina Skarðsá, Faroese-Danish illustrator based in Denmark.
