Joan Waag Høgnesen is a writer and educator. She made her debut on the Faroese literary scene in 2024, with her poetry being featured in the literary periodical Vencil and becoming a published children’s book author with Svansi-Bob. Since its release, Høgnesen has done several readings from the book at various locations throughout the Faroe Islands, and the book has also been published in Estonia. Hans Jacob Østerø illustrated the book.
