Endearing story of courage and overcoming fears.

Eleven-year-old Haraldur lives on an island, where all men are destined to work at sea. When his grandfather’s boat disappears during a storm, Haraldur must board a dinghy and go searching for his grandfather.

The only clues are a strange legend and a young seal. But the seal, who Haraldur has been trying to catch all summer, and who always pursues his grandfather’s boat, heads straight for the island …

Will Haraldur find his grandfather and overcome his fears?

First book in the trilogy Cormorant Islands.
