Høgni Mohr is the winner of the new Readers award

Saga JAM by Høgni Mohr won the new Readers Award held by the Faroese libraries. In the past month readers have had the opportunity to vote for three books, that were nominated for the Readers Award.

Saga Jam depicts the tragic fate of Jan-Allan Müller. He was born in Tórshavn in 1969 and grew up as an only child in Vágur. Jan-Allan’s mother was sick and his father drank too much, but Jan-Allan found a safespace in football. It is a story about longing and big dreams.

Høgni Mohr receives 30.000 DKK.

The nominated books were Saga JAM by Høgni Mohr, Summer doesn’t last all year any more by Katrin Ottarsdóttir and Haze by Jón Thorsteinsson.
