A new novel competition was announced by the Faroese Bookshop Association at the annual Book Festival at the Nordic House November last. When the dead-line was gone on 1 September seven manuscripts had been handed in. Now the committée (Bergur D. Hansen, Bergljót av Skarði, Pætur M. Dahl, Eilen Anthoniussen og Marna Jacobsen) has the difficult task of evaluating and choosing the winner who gets 50,000 DKK and a publishing agreement with Bókadeild Føroya Lærarafelags. The winner will be announced at the Book Festival 21-22 November at the Nordic House.
