The Faroese publisher, Ungu Føroyar, has published a children’s book in Italian. The book, Kálvamuan (The Young Calf), by Faroese author Sigurð Joensen (1911-1993) was first published in the Faroe Islands in 1959 with illustrations by the artist Zacharias Heinesen (1936-) and is about the boy, Sjúrður, who has to give the calf milk but unfortunately the bucket tips up. The book has been translated by Gianfranco Contri and is for children age 2-6 years.
