New Children's Book: Abbi og eg og abbi

New Children's Book: Abbi og eg og abbi

"Abbi og eg og abbi" is the name of a new children's book by Dánial Hoydal which will be published by BFL this Friday, 4 June. The book is about a grandfather who is in the early stages of dementia. The grandson is also noticing the small changes in his grandfather.

From the book: "Granddad knows a lot of stories. He can even tell stories without a book. Fairy tales and silly stories. Sometimes I think he just makes them up. Granddad says funny things. He loves to play with words. I don’t understand granddad when he uses them, but it sounds funny, so I laugh – and then he laughs with me". But one day the grandfather doesn't laugh, and the boy senses that something has changed.

The book is for children age 4-7, and the papercutting art is made by Annika Øyrabø.
