New Novel by Carl Johan Jensen
What happens when age dismantles your consciousness so that it becomes like an unfinished puzzle with lots of alien bricks? In his new novel, "Vatn er ein vátur logi", Carl Jóhan Jensen writes about dementia from an existential perspective and gives the disability a current dimension in a Faroese context. This is the life story of an elderly woman, as she remembers it, in her weakened condition; alone and abandoned in an apartment somewhere in the centre of Torshavn. Some suppressed memories of neglected relations and failed actions emerge and haunt her. The novel will be released on 26 October by Sprotin.
