New Poetry collection by Jóanes Nielsen

Jóanes Nielsen has released a new poetry collection titled Ullarljóð (en: sound of wool).

I still hear her say

there is only kind of love

self love!

this was what she said. She who lit the fire every morning

fed the sheep

and served her people food.

If the threads to all the garments she knitted were joint together

there would be about two hundred kilometers of woven yarn

don’t know how many stitches that is

I picture an entire sky

with woolen staring eyes.
