New English translation

Icelandic publisher CasaGretto has released St. Olaf’s Wake – A Summer Crime in 9 Parts by Jógvan Isaksen in an English translation by Hallfríður María Pálsdóttir. The book was also recently published in an Icelandic translation by the same translator and publisher.

Isaksen’s book, originally published in 1996 is a crime comedy written for Faroese radio. It follows intelligence officer Jens Pauli Joensen, as he is assigned to be the bodyguard for a German, for whom he does not care much. Joensen soon realises that someone is pursuing both him and the German.
