New Icelandic translation
CasaGretto has published an Icelandic translation of Jógvan Isaksen’s 1996 work Á ólavsøku – Summarkrimi í 9 pørtum (En. Saint Olaf’s Wake – Summer Crime in 9 Chapters). Hallfríður María Pálsdóttir has translated the book, titled Á Ólafsvöku – sumarkrimmi í 9 þáttum in Icelandic. CasaGretto has previously published Adventus Domini in Icelandic and Sweet is a Summer Night in the Faroe Islands in English, both translated by Pálsdóttir.
Isaksen’s 1996 book is a crime comedy written for Faroese radio. It follows intelligence officer Jens Pauli Joensen, as he is assigned to be the bodyguard for a German, for whom he does not care much. Joensen soon realises that someone is pursuing both him and the German.
