Trygvi Danielsen releases magnum opus

Trygvi Danielsen has released a new book titled hey:) TAÐ METAMODERNISTISKA DÓMADAGSMANIFESTIÐ (English: hi:) THE METAMODERNISTIC DOOMSDAY MANIFEST). It is a big book of 900 pages in a digital format that tells the story of a young man who is trying to reconnect with an old friend through online chat. The genre is a hybrid of dialogue novel and manifest.

The book is a breakthrough in Faroese literary history. According to the author, he wanted it to be in a strange place in the middle, that is neither poem nor play, essay, chat or Facebook update but rather somewhere between all of these. It is an intense text that delves into all the darkest topics in the world today. There is a lot of pain in it. Which the author likes because he fears it.
