New poetry collection from Lív Maria Róadóttir Jæger
BÓK is a new poetry collection by Lív Maria Róadóttir Jæger. It is a collection with 54 poems, where body, nature and emotions come together in a poetic movement, a poetic narrative. The word “I” does not appear at all in the book. Instead there is a “they”.
There are words and images of body and nature: navel, thigh, lip, nail, cheek, smile, monkey flower, creek, doubt and forgiveness. Psyche, sexuality and connections are intertwined and unbreakably woven together. The poems are intimate, corporeal and experimenting - written as if they were a part of a collective or plural memory, an echo of a world that has either ended or recently been created for the first time in consciousness.
The title translates to BOOK in English. BÓK is published by EKSIL.
